I am deeply touched by Helen Lim's move to assist growing 'retired silvers' to use their valued skills for the greater good of the community. This age group, and some even older are still very productive as most 'make way' for the younger group, or due to age criteria, a yardstick measure or technology know-how ? This move for the employable 'retired', and wanting to be of service to others and even mentoring others, helps with a sense of well-being and belonging to Singapore as far possible. Often, we hear this, "Age is a number," and those in the "40s the new 20s", "60s the new 40s." But, what can we do about it ? I applaud Ms Helen Lim for looking beyond, in action!
